(This is not an inclusive list as protocols and certification requirements change or are modified from time to time.)
1. A syllabus of the course work shall be sent to each college.
2. The President and Chairperson of the Postgraduate Education Department will be advised as to how well their student(s) fared on the ACBN examination.
3. The ACBN shall publish the results (not the names ofd the candidates) showing the success/failure rate of the school in the ACBN’s newsletter The DACBN Report.
4. We ask that the schools obtain instructor surveys from the students to help evaluate the instructors. We would hope that a the surveys are directed from the Dean of Postgraduate Studies with perhaps a student volunteer so as to avoid impropriety of instructors screening their own surveys.
5. Negative surveys will be reviewed with recommendations for improvement as determined by the ACBN Board. Instructors having negative surveys shall be provided a corrective action plan.
6. In order to maintain continuity of quality assurance, schools must restrict their instructors to teaching 3 modules. Schools not complying will prevent their students from sitting for the Diplomate examination.. It is imperative that diversity of instructors be established and maintained.
7. All potential instructors shall fill out an application and an attestation form.
