Functional Medicine University

(Sponsored by Soutern California University)

Your organization has been selected by the Functional
Medicine University (FMU) as the sole testing organization
in nutrition for doctors completing their course work. This
exclusivity attests to the quality of credentialing requested for
FMU graduates. The ACBN wishes to advise all stakeholders of
its approval of FMU nutrition course work as appropriate for
those doctors seeking additional nutrition course work.

FMU is an officially recognized distance learning school and
is part of Southern California University of Health Sciences
(SCU). SCU is accredited by the Western Association of Schools
and Colleges, Council on Chiropractic Education and by the
Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine.

FMU offers 200 hours of nutrition course work that can be
applied towards the 300 hours of nutrition required by the
ACBN as part of board eligibility. There are 10 modules offered
sequentially. The first two modules can be taken as “stand
alone” units of continuing education consisting of 56 CE
credits.
