ACBN Vice-President Dr. Steve Perman is a holistic chiropractic physician, acupuncturist, teacher, former state legislator and motivational speaker. His credentials include a full board certification in chiropractic sports medicine (DACBSP) and a full board certification in Clinical Nutrition (DABCN). His acupuncture certification program was through the University of Miami School of Medicine. He attended Emory University in Atlanta and graduated, with honors, from New York Chiropractic College in 1979.
Adedicated political activist on health-related issues, Steve has led the ACA/FCA visitation team to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. annually for over 25 years and was named FCA Chiropractor of the Year in 2005. He was the ACA South Florida delegate, and served as the national chairman of the ACA-PAC. In 2009, in advance of the enactment of the Affordable Care Act, the ACA named him the chairman of its Health Care Reform Task Force to help analyze the impact of Obama Care on our profession and patients.
In 2010, he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, where his committee service included that of Ranking Member on the Health Care Access subcommittee.
Dr. Perman comes from a "chiropractic family"-- his brother Dr. Dennis Perman is the founder/owner of The Master's Circle and both his parents, Dr. Bill and Eileen, served for years on the FL State Board of Chiropractic Medicine.
